Where is Sunstone found?

Sunstone with Aventurescent feldspar is found mainly in China, Canada, Australia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Norway, Mexico, India and Congo.

The most famous deposits of Sunstone are found in Oregon in the United States. A few of its deposits are large enough to sustain mining operations single-handedly. Other localities of the deposits in the US are New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania. They also occur in some basalt flows in Harney County and Lake County.
