Dark Green Tourmaline
Lab Created spinel was first produced accidentally during an attempt to make a satisfactory blue synthetic sapphire by the Verneuil process. While making a copy of Natural gemstones, they discovered that they can make an imitationn of Natural Green Tourmaline as well. The Lab green tourmalines in this section are manufactured so that they look like their Natural counterparts. The lab created tourmalines we have at GEMS n GEMS, have same chemical composition as their natural counterparts. Green Tourmaline stimulates joy and happiness in life with its lovely and vibrant color. Green Tourmaline is also known as verdelite.
Synthetic spinel is widely used because it is slightly softer than synthetic corundum, it can be fashioned more rapidly and less expensively. Secondly, several of the colors in which it is made are better imitation for a number of natural stones than those made in synthetic corundum
